Christmas and such

So it has been way too long. I decided to post some pics from our trip to Texas for Christmas. It was really fun because so much of my family was there for my nieces wedding.

Jane got a play tent and she really loves playing in it. She also loved playing at my brother Prestons house. The car was a favorite and there were many fights between her and Ruby about it. Sorry Ruby :)

She also had a good time at their house with the tape. Oh and the Minnie mouse ears.

We spent an evening at the lake house. Of course Tommy had to make a fire and make it the biggest thing you had ever seen. It did get a little out of control (as you can see below) but then they got a handle on it. You really couldn't stand within 4 ft of it. Jane still talks about this fire.

Try not be scared of Brians hair. He says lots of people like it :)

She loved the tree and it was hard to get her to not pull the ornaments off.

I really didn't take as many pictures as I should have. There was a lot of cousin fun for Jane. She went to bed exhausted every night. There was also a lot of sickness within the family. Which was sad. Most of them had the flu but Jane woke up one night throwing up. It last a couple of hours and then was over. The only problem is that she got it again and even worse after we got home. Luckily, my mom had driven home with me and was here to really help because Jeff got it too. It was a really fun week when we got home. Things are finally now back to normal. Now to focus on getting ready for the baby :)

The sink fell out

That is what Jeff said to me one night as I was sitting downstairs. I had heard a noise but was unsure what it was and especially what he was talking about. We have been in our house for about 2 and a half years now. We bought from a guy who got as a fix and flip. So naturally we have found some annoying random things that they cut corners on. Well this was just another one of those things. Our sink had literally fallen out. The sink doesn't have a lip that goes over the granite but under it. The people had only cemented the sink to the granite and hadn't used anything else to fasten it. So we had to make it workable for a couple of days. This is what it looked like.

Jeff went to talk to the people at Home Depot about what to do. They said not to do it ourselves because you have to drill into the granite. Well for some reason we just believed them and called someone to come and fix it. They didn't have to drill but just cemented some brackets. Nonetheless it is all fixed and working great now. Oh the joys of home ownership.

So besides that really fun time we haven't had too much going on. There was Halloween. We are not much into Halloween so we just borrowed a costume from my sis in law Becky. If you didn't see it. Here she is.

Jeff and I didn't dress up. We didn't take Jane trick or treating either. Well I guess we did go to the ward trunk or treat. She didn't really get it but had fun seeing all her nursery friends.

We have been having fun to trying to make the most of some nice days and playing with friends. Jane is in love with my friends baby. It is nice and gives me hope that he will really love the new baby (fingers crossed).

Ok random picture time for all you who don't have facebook :)

And one more funny video and then we are done till next time.

Here we are again

It been oh so very long since I posted on here. I considered doing a big post catching up on all our activities and such over the summer. It would be really long and most people would consider it boring. We did have a great summer, though. With family reunions, lots of family staying with us, weddings in Utah and other miscellaneous events. We really did see a lot of family and friends this summer and it was really great.
One thing that happened, that I will post pics of, is Jane turned 2. It was a pretty low key event although my mom came into town.

I made a gluten free carrot cake for her. It was super delicious. I did put cream cheese frosting on it though (I mean how can you not). Jane did freak out when we lit her candles and so it took a minute to calm her down before she would eat. It was sad. We just love her so much and she is talking a lot now. For some reasons she feels the need to narrate her activities throughout the day. Which is pretty funny and amazing how many words she knows that I didn't realize she knew. She is still singing a lot these days and loves music a lot.

In other news, we were in Utah this weekend (sorry those who we didn't see, it was a quick trip for a funeral) and my cousin saw me and said she didn't know I was pregnant. So here it is. I am pregnant. For those who didn't know. We are pretty excited. I am almost 20 weeks and finally started feeling better a couple of weeks ago (one of the reasons I have been absent from this blog). I am due mid march. We will find out the babies sex in a couple of weeks.

Besides that it is just business as usual here. I will now keep up on posting on here. I will just post on funny video on here. Jane is all about playing songs on the piano. Her friend thought it was really funny.

The last week or so

Here are some things we have been doing lately.

The 4th of July swim fun.

Both of their diapers are so full. They weigh like 5 lbs.

I almost forgot to post this video. This is Jane on the train. She loved every minute of this.

Zoo

We made the trip down to Colorado Springs again to go to the Zoo with my brother and his family. It was fun but Jane wasn't as excited about it as I thought she would be. She was just all about holding hands with Brielle and playing with the umbrella. You'll see. Here's the highlights.

Is it just me or are Giraffe's tongues the nastiest things ever.

It has been so great to have my brother so close this last couple of months. Jane loves it too. She is in love with his girls.
