The Hunt

We had a Easter egg hunt the other day at some friends house. It was Jane's first (of course) and she had a good time. Jeff said that she was wandering around talking really loud as she picked up the eggs. She is so funny.

As you can tell she got a lot of eggs. She was pretty good at this hunt thing.

Here are the kids who participated. The next three pics are so funny. Jacob was loving the candy and then thought that maybe the egg would be just as good. Yup the last pic is the egg in his mouth. Classic.

Friends

It has been so nice we decided to do the official first BBQ of the year. This was two weekends ago. It was a lot of fun with all the adults and the kids especially. They always liven up the party. We have been really blest with some great friends here in Denver. Here are the kids.

It is so fun to have everyone over. Thanks to the Tanners we had two grills and so it worked out perfectly. The kids ran around in the yard and when it cooled a little we all jammed into our front room. Almost all of the those kids are right around Jane's age and she plays pretty well with them. But as well all do, she has a friend that she is particularly fond of. That is Jacob, my friend Camille's son. We live close to them and so see them often. They get along really well and Camille compares them to Dennis and Margaret.

Here are a couple of videos of them playing together. It is funny because around most other kids Jane is pretty mellow but she is definitely herself around Jacob. She will often follow him around and do what he is doing. As you can see in the first video, she is pushy and he often concedes.

They also have a habit of finding the one patch of dirt in the whole yard and they play there. Fun times.

Here is more evidence that everything becomes a hat to Jane.

It was pretty hot outside (as you can see from her cheeks) but she wore this around for some time. She wanted to be so helpful with the yard work. Oh, this is an old easter basket we had kickin around.
