One More

I wanted to post one more video I took while my sister was in town. This one is turned the wrong way but then I remember half way through the video and turn it the right way. It is kind of hard to see what is going on but my niece kept running around in circles and would plump down by Jane and it would make her laugh.

Good times. So we are here in Canada now. Like I had mentioned in my last post the weather is still like winter here. It pretty much snowed lightly all weekend. So needless to say we haven't ventured out very much. We have only really gone out to do some grocery shopping and the such. It is a little overwhelming to go out and try to find my way around. I forgot how different the streets and freeways are here. We did get a GPS before we left so that has been helpful. I need to just get over it and go out. I just don't know where to go yet.
Jane has been struggling to adjust. She was waking up a lot at night for the first couple days. The last two nights haven't been so bad. She has been fussy but I think that she might be teething. I don't really know how to tell but I have my suspicions. This leads me to the Jane picture of the week. It is one of the things that makes me think she is teething.

She is sucking those lips way in. Jeff said she looks like a Cabbage Patch Kid. I think she looks like an old man with no teeth. Either way it is funny. She just started this yesterday.
Well we will keep all aprised of what is going on. Jeff has a 4 day weekend so we are trying to decide if we should do something. I guess it depends on the weather.

The lone tulip

We have a patch of roses in the front of our house. I don't really love the roses but they were there when we moved in and we haven't gotten around to taking them out yet (guess it will have to wait till next year). As it has been warmer here, some flowers have begun to bloom. This single tulip as come up in our rose patch. It is one thing that makes me feel a little sad to go to Canada. I have just begun to get spring fever but it is still cold there. Alas, it will come there too and I will get to feel it all over again.

Park Fun

It has been really nice here on and off for the last couple of weeks. We decided to take advantage of one of the especially nice days by going to the park. For those who don't know, there is a large park right across the street from us. On the opposite corner of the park is a school with lots of toys to play on. My sister and mom were still here and so we all had lots of fun.

Nana pushing Mabel on the swing

Dean might be getting a little too old for this play set.

She always wants to try what her brother does.

Rachel running on one of those wheel things.
Jane especially had a good time. It was her first experience at the park and on the swing. He thoroughly enjoyed both.

Jane just sat quite content in the swing while I pushed it.

So excited at the park

She sat there for a long time just watching what everyone else was doing. She has gotten to where she can sit for really long periods without falling (although she still isn't really rolling, she is a sitter).

We went to the park the next day too and I shot this video of her on another swing.

It is sad that Jeff was not here for this fun time. We are so excited that he is coming back tomorrow morning and we will get to be with him for a long time in Canada. Jane and I have missed him a lot.

Videos for your viewing pleasure

So my sister and 2 of her kids have been here for a couple of weeks. Jane just loves playing with her cousins. They are hours of entertainment for her. They both started surprising her and making her laugh soon after they came. She has laughed harder since they have been here than ever before.  Here is a glimpse of that.

My niece also spends much of her day singing. Jane usually enjoys it but is a little fussy here. Mabel is so dang cute and loves making up her own lyrics, obviously. It is just one big mass of a bunch of different songs.

A special thanks to Megan for helping me turn this video.
