Chatty Cathy

My mom loves it when I post videos, so these are for you Nana. This has been Jane the last couple of days. Super chatty and singing almost non stop.

Points to whoever can guess what song she is singing. Yes it is an actual song she thinks she is singing. Hint: it is a primary song.

Utah Again

We went to Utah again a couple of weeks ago. One of my nieces got married. We saw so much family. It was really a good time. I took so many pictures that I had to make collages out of them. Here are some of the people we saw and things we did.

Mabel looks really psycho in this picture. Then there were kisses all around.

We had a fire at Rachel's house (before the whole world was on fire, maybe just Utah and Colorado). We made s'mores and as you can see by Sharidean's face they were good.

This is at the wedding reception.

As you can see Noelle loves to have her picture taken. She wanted me to follow her around and take pics but we had to go :) The best part of that night was at the end when the dancing happened. All of the kids were going crazy and so loving it. Especially Jane. She was running around clapping and then doing what she is doing in this picture. That was a special part of her moves.

Here is a video of it that Jeff took.

So funny. On another note. I wanted to post another video that is so cute. Jeff puts Jane to bed at night an he always sings to her. Since he often sings the same few songs, Jane knows them very well. Here is her attempt at singing along with him.

Summertime

Since my last post was kind of depressing, I thought I would do one that is happier. I don't want that last post hanging over me. So here are some things we have done lately since the weather has been so nice. FYI lot of swimming suit pics. Of Jane, of course, not me.

Over Memorial Day we went to the part with Becky and her kids. There is a river that runs through and a train and other fun stuff. I thought I had a pic of us on the train but I can't find it, sadly.

I have been doing more biking lately too. Jane really love it. She gets excited when I ask her if she wants to go on a ride. Here she is all geared up and ready to go.

There is a pool just a mile or so away from us. It has a kiddie pool and some really fun slides. These pics are from the other day. We went to the pool again today. Jeff was able to go with us today. He and I went down the slides a bunch of times. It was really fun.

A very pregnant Camille. Just have that dang baby already :)

Jane has really become quite the water baby. We would get out of the pool and she would just head right back over. She got so she could manage to move and spin herself in the big pool as well. In the kiddie pool she walks around on her knees in the floaty.
We have been the to park a couple of time. This one is a splash park and I forgot her suit. She had fun nonetheless.

This is her nursery friend Clive. He kept getting water out of the fountains and pouring it in her bucket. Then she would dump it right out again. She even drank it once or twice. Gross.

All of the pics were taken with my phone so they are not the best quality. So it has been a pretty fun summer so far. We can't wait for the rest of the summer. So many fun things already planned. Starting with our trip to Utah next week. Ya for weddings :)

The Aftermath

This is what the clouds looked like last night at sunset. Pretty ominous, right? Well the news said that all the action was taking place south and east of us. There were lots of tornado warnings, hail and thunderstorm warnings on TV last night. When we woke up at midnight to the sound of the tornado alarm; we knew the storm hadn't missed us. Luckily, no tornado close by. For about an hour, it seemed like someone had strobe light on outside. The thunder was pretty loud as well. So Jane naturally woke up. During this time the hail started. It poured down hail for about 10-15 minutes straight. They were about the size of M&Ms.

The hail was so loud on the roof of our back awning. So we got out of bed and went into the front room to watch it fall and destroy.
Jeff and I have worked really hard to fix up our yard this year and plant a garden. We have put A LOT of time, A LOT of energy and A LOT of money into it. It wasn't anything that 10 minutes of hail couldn't take care of.

Here is our front flower bed.

All of these flowers were standing tall and had blossoms on them. This is not the worst part. I had just really found my love of gardening. I would tend to it every day. Our greens (Spinach, Kale, Lettuce, Cabbage, etc.) were doing really well. Only a couple of more weeks and I could have pulled them out to eat.

                          The garden                                               Romaine

                               Kale                                                  herb garden

Just last night, Jeff went and got more soil and FINALLY planted our tomatoes and peppers. Ironic.

I can't even tell you how sad I am about this. Do we just cut our losses or do we spend more money and replant? Sorry this was so extensive. I guess I just had to vent a little. To make matters worse, Jane was up for a couple of hours in the night because of the storm. Now we are both tired and cranky.

Video Extravaganza

I just wanted to share some funny videos that I have taken of Jane lately.

Jane loves working out along with me. This is not the only exercise she mimics. It is funny to watch her.

She sat downstairs this day and played for about 20 minutes straight. She loves it.

She still loves to read and she now thinks that she can read along with me. This one is a little long.

The Folks

My parents came into town a week or so ago. They came to see my brother and his family before they move to Chile for 6 months. Oh, I guess they came to see us too. My sister in law's family lives in Colorado Springs. So they are living there until they move in a couple of weeks. We ended up going down to Colorado Springs for a day to see them. We got to see the air show for the Air Force graduation, Garden of the Gods, get some good food and catch up. Jane met more cousins who she has never met before. She was in love with Brielle, the older of my brothers girls. Jane followed her around and wanted to hold her hand constantly. It was cute and Brielle was very patient with her.

The next day they came to Denver and stayed two nights with us. It was so much fun to have them here. One of the things we did was go to Little Man to get ice cream, of course.

Those are the only pics we have of them while in Denver, sadly. We hope to be able to see them again before they head off to Chile.
